Governor B. M. Miller
State of Ala.

Sir:

We hereby enter our emphatic protest against the indifference
of the authorities of Decatur and the State of Alabama, by their
neglegt to furnish full and adequate protection to Attorneys,
witnesses and defendents in the trial of the Scottsboro Negro
boys.
Absolutely convinced of their innosence of the crime for which t
they are charged, we demand all charges be dropped and their
unconditional freedom.
We also demand full protection for all concerned during the trial.
We are holding the respective authorities fully responsible for
whatever may happen to the defendents, witnesses and attorneys.

Sincerely yours
C J Nelson
